What is a Neighborhood Planning Unit (NPU)?
 
The City of Atlanta is divided into twenty-five Neighborhood Planning Units (NPUs), which are citizen advisory councils that make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on zoning, land use, special events and other planning issues.

NPU-W Full Monthly Meeting (open to the public) - 7:30pm, every 4th Wednesday of the month (except November & December which is 3rd Wednesday)

Grant Park falls under NPU-W - Neighbors are encouraged to attend these meetings to vote on important issues related to Grant Park and Southeast Atlanta. You must attend 3 meetings a year to be able to vote, so get your meetings in early!

Grant Park items voted on at the NPU-W 2/28/2018 Meeting - The below were voted on at the 2/20/2018 GPNA Meeting and the 2/28/2018 NPU-W for a vote
  • Buteco Brazilian Coffee Shop: New Business at The Beacon: Request for liquor license supported unanimously at GPNA
    • 2/28 Update: NPU-W Vote of support.
  • Revelator (formerly Octane): Change of Agent request supported unanimously at GPNA
    • 2/28 Update: NPU-W Vote of support.
  • Grant Park Tavern (formerly Cock Pit; formerly Gravy): Change of ownership request supported unanimously at GPNA
    • 2/28 Update: NPU-W Vote of support.
Grant Park items NPU-W provide will provide comment to City of Atlanta for:
  • LOR-18-01 - Applicant seeks to reinstate two historical lots of record - 681 Home Ave SE: GPNA reps have no comment to include at this time.
    • 2/28 Update: Applicant has not appeared before Grant Park or NPU.  NPU-W comment is to defer the applicant to appear before neighbors and delay a month.
  • SD-18-07 - Applicant seeks to subdivide one lot - 701 Memorial Drive SE: This received support through Grant Park neighbors at a previous GPNA meeting, so this information will be provided.
    • 2/28 Update: NPU-W has no additional comment for City of Atlanta.
