Morgan and Colin are originally from the metro-Atlanta area. Colin would go to the Zoo with family and friends and always loved the Grant Park area. In fact, in 2011, Morgan and Colin had their first date at the Summer Shade Festival and later married in 2014. When they were looking for a home to buy, Grant Park was their obvious choice! Their home had recently being renovated by Round Here Renovation and designed by Carl Mattison. Morgan and Colin love the walkability and the proximity to activities in the neighborhood. And the home met all the needs for the beginning of their new life together.

As you enter their abode, an open concept floor plan greets you with the living room and kitchen. Colin loves to cook and he was immediately drawn to the functional design built into the kitchen. The layout allows for cooking and entertaining friends and family, which the Dunlop’s love to do! Check out the bourbon collection. Much of the art work throughout the home is from local artists and have a special meaning for the symbolism of their relationship. In fact, they first met at the Georgia Theatre for a Whigs concert and took a photo of the marque that night. That photo was then painted and hangs in the kitchen.

Additionally in the front of the house are the home offices for Morgan and Colin in a Jack and Jill concept. The bookshelves were added as an accent once they moved in for functionality.

Beyond the kitchen are the new additions to the home that were added during the renovation, including the master suite. Hanging above the bed is an original drawing by a local artist from Morgan to Colin for their first anniversary. Additionally, the back deck patio area was added to extend the entertaining area. Colin made the fire pit tabletop and actually found a half umbrella to provide cover when grilling.
Morgan and Colin are excited to welcome all tour goers this year! They will be around during the tour to answer questions about their home and experiences in Grant Park.
