GPSP NEWS
Please join us in a standing ovation to our retiring security patrol officer Deputy Sheriff Huner.  Huner has been patrolling our streets for the security patrol for over 20 years.  His knowledge of our local cast of characters and their MOs have been invaluable.  He will be missed.  He has been offered a position with the Rockdale District Attorney’s office as investigator and will no longer have the flexibility to allow him to cover our weekday patrols.  We wish him well in his new position.  In the meantime, Lt. Iosty has taken on extra patrols and we’re grateful for his experience in the neighborhood as well.  In addition to his bicycle, Lt. Iosty will be patrolling in a dark blue Ford SUV.   Sgt. Jim Hodge, who used to be assigned to our old precinct in Grant Park and who formerly patrolled for us as well, is interested in doing some patrol hours.  He is on the lieutenant promotion list, but for now will patrol one morning and one afternoon each week for us, in coordination with Lt. Iosty.

Our Annual Meeting will be held Saturday, April 14th at 2 PM at 354 Grant St.  Come have a slice of pizza and a soda, cast your vote for our corporate officers, and hear about the latest crime scenes.  We have a critical need for members who value the security patrol to step up and get involved as corporate officers, or commit to be Secretary-elect, Treasurer-elect or President-elect.  More detailed job descriptions for all the corporate officer positions are available.
