BeltLine Rail needs your vote - please sign NOW! This was never the plan, but 2/3 of the Beltline may forever move forward without transit. That’s because MARTA is only committing to one third of the long-promised project in the More MARTA plan – a $2.5 billion list of projects to help the urban core of Atlanta manage incredible growth over the next 40 years. Worse, MARTA has offered no commitment to other funding or timing to close the 22-mile loop of transit. That means that the majority of the Beltline’s 45 neighborhoods will not see the project’s long-promised outcomes – at least not in our lifetimes. Think about it – two thirds of the fastest gentrifying communities in Atlanta will continue to grow, but they won’t have transit to help manage mounting traffic, new density, and other kinds of change – even though the promise of transit is why they supported the Atlanta Beltline in the first place. It’s not too late to change MARTA’s mind and get the entire Beltline prioritized so that all three thirds get to benefit.

Ijunanya (Nanya) Dickey McClure tragedy Our neighbor Nanya collapsed at her child's talent show on May 25, 2018. She passed away on June 2, 2018, after donating her organs. Her 2 youngest children are with her family. In the weeks and months to come, ther family will need support (both emotional and financial) as they mourn, grieve, and help raise Morgan Wyatt and Lathan. If you are able to donate, any amount is appreciated. Please keep Nanya and her entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Sharon Dickey, Nanya's mother, is watching her children and handling matters so is set up as the beneficiary of this Go Fund Me.

Security Patrol Updates for Winter 2017-2018 Grant Park Security Patrol is a nonprofit corporation(IRS 501C4), which hires off-duty City of Atlanta police officers to patrol the streets of our neighborhood, to supplement the regular patrols of APD. Although "off-duty," these police officers still retain full policing powers, allowing them to stop and question suspicious persons, ask for IDs, and check for prior arrests and outstanding warrants. Patrol schedules are constantly updated to address the crime patterns the neighborhood experiences.
