The Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) is pleased to alert you to the scheduled start of a bike lane installation in your district beginning the week of September 12, 2022 (weather permitting).

The project will include:

• Installation of Bike Lanes on Cherokee Avenue between Atlanta Avenue and Woodward Avenue
• Mobilization and the removal of concrete barriers currently on site
• Installation of signage, striping, concrete wheel stops, and K71 bollards
• Construction hours between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday

Door hanger notifications (see attached example) will be distributed to residences and “No Parking” signs will be placed in the project areas prior to the start of resurfacing. Please encourage residents to move their vehicles from the areas prior to the construction activities to avoid having their vehicles towed (Georgia Code 44-1-13). We apologize for any resulting noise or disturbances caused during this work and ask for your patience as we complete this vital infrastructure improvement.

Please feel free to share this information with your community constituents and stakeholders.
