GPNA, does this and more…

  • GPNA provides an open, welcoming, and friendly forum for neighbors to unite, freely express their feelings, concerns and ideas to improve, and better the Grant Park community as a whole.

  • GPNA also provides a number of channels (regular meetings, social media and email distributions), where active members can get involved and stay informed of the latest neighborhood specific events, activities and developments.

  • GPNA works to maintain the historic value of our neighborhood by working with homeowners and supporting the authentic rehabilitation of housing stock.

  • GPNA works to improve the quality of life for our residents by supporting and promoting community gatherings and annual fundraising entertainment events, such as the Tour of Homes and Mothball.

  • GPNA helps protect our home values by working with builders and property owners to put appropriate structures and materials as to not alter the look of the neighborhood.

  • GPNA uses an annual budget to help facilitate dialogues amongst participating neighbors, as well as fund the many projects that are discussed, initiated and brought to fruition, through the labor of active volunteers that reside within Atlanta's historic neighborhood we call Grant Park.

  • GPNA supports and partners with the local non-profits and schools in our neighborhood.

  • GPNA strives for open communication and participation amongst all neighbors and local businesses.

We also do this and more…

  • Provided seed money for the creation of the Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School.

  • Provide contributions for park projects such as the Milledge fountain and Ormwood-Grant park restorations.

  • Provide contributions to families in need: Nicholas House, neighborhood family displaced by a house fire, and a local neighbor scammed by contractors.

  • Coordinate with local officials to get things done on behalf of our neighbors, e.g., pot holes, signs, traffic issues, bike Lanes, Publix safety, etc.

  • Provide support for the Atlanta Preservation Society to restore the Grant Mansion and allow zoning for handicap access.

  • Help disseminate info to the public about events happening in our neighborhood.

  • Speak on behalf of neighbors when festival organizers petition to hold events in the park.

  • Helps bolster local neighborhood businesses, with gatherings, and sponsorship marketing opportunities.

  • Supports and contributes to the GP Security Patrol, GP Conservancy, & the GP Parents Network.
