Cabbagetown Clay and Glass Works

Our Mission
Cabbagetown Clay and Glass Works has been established to further the knowledge and practice of glass & ceramic arts. We seek to create a community of artisan fellowship by promoting local art and craft education.

Our Organization
Founded in 2002, CCGW is a 501c3 Nonprofit organization set up as a co-op. Right now we have 9 members who share the studio and gallery space. We are metro Atlanta’s only studio facility with 24 hour accommodations for both production potters and recreational potters.

Our Facility
consists of 1300 square feet with concrete floors, a pressed tin ceiling, exposed brick walls, a ton of natural light, and central heat and air. Our members have 24 access to the studio space and equipment, which includes a giant kiln, a big kiln, and a tiny glass kiln. Plenty of shelf space. 3 handbuilding tables. 4 electric wheels. A slab roller. A really old black and white TV that still works. A wide variety of glazes hand mixed by our resident chemist, Jeanette Zeis. And a storefront gallery steps away from historic Oakland Cemetery.
