BeltLine Subarea 4 Master Plan Update Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI) is updating the BeltLine Subarea 4 Master Plan, which was originally completed in July 2011. The purpose of the plan is to help guide future growth for vibrant mixed-use, mixed-income communities by identifying policy goals and recommendations related to transit-oriented development, mobility, green space, affordable housing, historic preservation, and public art & culture. Subarea 4 is located in the southeastern portion of Atlanta BeltLine, east of I-75/I-85 and bisected by I-20.

Georgia's New Senate Bill 202 has implemented many changes worth reading about, which include polling places and absentee ballot drop-off locations.

 
 
 
 
FROM THE 911 CENTER 311 agents are City of Atlanta employees and received extensive training as well as work hand and hand with APD on responses to calls. If 311 – Supportive Services team receives an emergency and/or crisis call, they would transfer the call immediately to 911. The entire 311 call center does not take PAD referrals there is a special team dedicated for all Supportive Services referrals which include PAD referrals.

In-person Design Workshops - 10/14 from 4-7pm, & 10/16 from 9am-12pm

Grant Park Conservancy Summer Shade unFestival Returns for 2021 The 19th Annual Summer Shade Festival will not return to the park this summer. Instead, the virtual, unFestival format will continue again this year, with several ways you can support the Grant Park Conservancy (GPC) throughout the course of Summer Shade Festival “season.” The season will start on August 2 with race registration opening, and raffle ticket, tee shirt and wine sales kicking it off.

Cherokee Avenue Bike Lane Update An update from the Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) as they continue to implement a protected bike lane along Cherokee Avenue as part of the Mayor's Action Plan for Safer Streets.

 
  ‘It’s Complicated’ podcast: The ‘game changing’ moment for the Atlanta Beltline When Atlanta BeltLine Inc. set out to build a 22-mile loop around intown communities, it didn’t count on the Great Recession or a global pandemic.
Now, with nine years until the project’s completion deadline, organizers are getting “very aggressive” in finding revenue to make up for lost time and to finish building the multi-use trail that is one of the nation’s largest urban redevelopment programs.

Ford Mask Day at Zoo Atlanta Ford Motor Company Fund is teaming up with local nonprofits and Ford dealerships to distribute over 3.9 million medical-grade face masks in neighborhoods across the Southeastern U.S. Zoo Atlanta will be a distribution site on Thursday, February 18, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or while supplies last. During this time, visitors and community residents will be able to receive 20 disposable face masks packaged in pre-sealed bags.
