The Recreation Center is located at the corner of Park Avenue and Sydney Street in Grant Park.

There is a group of residents forming the "Friends of the Grant Park Recreation Center" to help bring community programs to the center. The Grant Park Recreation center operates a basketball and football program. Camp Best Friends operates here during the summer.
There are programs offered at the rec center that are not provided by the City of Atlanta Parks & Recreation Department, but by individuals that contract to use the space at the center.
You may find yoga, aerobic classes, strength training, karate, jujitsu, and tennis available. It is best to go by the center to find out the current offerings. Another source is the "Friends of the Grant Park Recreation Center" facebook page. Call the center directly at 404-624-0697 (10-1 Saturdays) (closed Sundays).
The facility has a work-out room with strength training and cardio equipment. It also has computers residents can use for free.
The facility is available to rent for meetings, parties, and special events.
There is a full kitchen and tables & chairs are included.
